There are two accounts associated with your Blue Chip Card:

A Blue Chip debit account - Everyone with a Blue Chip Card has a Blue Chip debit account automatically set up; it is your choice whether or not to take advantage of the account. The account works like a regular bank debit account. You deposit money into the account prior to spending it. Every time you use your Blue Chip Card to make a purchase on campus or at participating off campus locations, the card reader will record your transaction, subtract the funds from your account, and instantly display the remaining balance. If you do not have funds available, you will not be able to make purchases. Money in your Blue Chip debit account transfers from semester to semester.

An optional bank account with Achieve Financial Credit Union - Blue Chip Card holders who become members of Achieve Financial Credit Union can activate their Blue Chip Card so it can be used as an ATM card. Use your Blue Chip Card worldwide at any ATM machine on the Cirrus, NYCE, SUM, or MasterCard Network. You can have any reimbursements, as well as employment earnings, directly deposited to your Achieve Financial account. More information can be obtained from the Achieve Financial website, by calling (860) 828-2790, or visiting the on campus branch in the Student Center Room 106.

Lost or Damaged Card

Report a lost or stolen card immediately!
You can report your lost card to the Card Office during Card Office hours by calling (860) 832-2140. After hours call the CCSU Campus Police at (860) 832-2375. You can also report your lost card at the On-Line Card Office.

When you report your lost Blue Chip ID Card, request a "hold" to be placed on your card. This prevents anyone (even if you find it) from using your card. If you think you left your card in your room, car, or somewhere else, ask us for a temporary card so you can look for your card.

Look high & low...No card?
You can purchase a new card for a fee. Your first lost, stolen, or damaged card is $10, additional cards are $25! If you undergo a name change, receive a new social security number, or change your status (full to part-time or staff) we issue a new card for free.
